Colorado in Photos

In June, in celebration of the completion of the school year and the volunteer year, my roommates and I road tripped 14 hours from Saint Louis to Denver. It was a long, flat ride across all of Missouri and Kansas, but the destination and the journey both ended up being beautiful things. In Colorado, we visited with a branch of the Sisters of Loretto and their co-members who we hadn’t met before. With this trip, our Loretto experience was complete.

Here are some photos from our time there, many of which are taken in Rocky Mountain National Park when one of the sisters was kind enough to be our tour guide:

Some of my old pals from my Alaska days, Emily and Travis drove in from Crested Butte to hang out in Denver for the weekend!

We used to live near Teller, Alaska; so the fact that we found where Teller Street and Alaska Street intersect is pretty wild.

Break out the instruments! Time for a little sing along on our last night in Denver.

Always a sense of humor with Loretto.

So glad you got to see Emily while you were there. I still think back to Nome and how much your friendship meant to her sanity there. Nome is one crazy place. I’m not sure it’s even on this planet – LOL Great that you had a good time before your next adventure.
