Uganda

After a 15 hour overnight train ride from Mombasa to Nairobi on Thursday night and then a 13 hour overnight bus ride last night, we have officially arrived in Uganda.

We are staying with a man who runs a local charity and has a home that overlooks Lake Victoria, Africa’s largest lake. So far, I’m noticing large differences between Kenya and Uganda even though they are neighboring nations.

I wish I could explain how frustrating computers here are to type on. I apologize for the short post, but I have to go sleep, it’s impossible to sleep on overnight trains and buses.

Safely in Uganda.

Good golly Miss Molly (LOL) 28 hours of sleepless travel. Guess I won’t complain about travel security lines ever again. Glad you got there safely. Lake Victoria must be awsome. I envy the sights you are seeing thogh not at all the effort required.

Larry, thank you much for all of the comments, it’s so nice to know someone is following my trip so closely. You are kind. I look forward to seeing you upon my return.

Really? I can sleep in cars like a log. That, and it sounds like our annual trips to South Dakota! An hour drive to the airport, go through security, the plane for two hours, go through baggage, get the rental car, and then drive to Aberdeen, a 6 hour drive. Oh, and John and the rest of the Dwyers say hi!
